Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am relatively unexperienced with Grasshopper.

I have tried to make model were the points on a curve are moved in a direction by a random input.

I am struggling when I try to create a surface from the curves. I currently can only connect the outer points to the inner points but can't connect the inner points to the next outer points to complete the geometric shape.

In the past I have used shift list but this does not seem to work in this example.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

This is my first post on this site.

Thanks

I took the liberty to simplify your definition a bit... maybe the current result of the curvature analysis is not exactly what you intended.

Hi Hannes,

Thank you for taking the time to look at my definition. What you have done is very interesting and much simpler and it works!!

I was just wondering if you or anyone else knows how to fix the original definition. What I was hoping to do was unroll each surface and I am not sure if that is possible when using the weave component.

Thanks again for your time.

if you switch the loft to "straight" in the loft options, you will essentially get a set of lofts between adjacent curves joined together. Just explode the Brep and you will get all the subsurfaces.

I seem to be getting this result 'The explode component failed to turn brep to curve',

Anyway thanks for your help.

can't see where this would happen...
