Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

My aim is to reduce all my breps to 1.

Merge output has 4704 values, cap and join and 1176 values. Solid union null.

Where am I wrong? please help me, thanks.

do they touch physically, I'm pretty sure both join and sUnion will not work if nothing touches.

They touch physically, they are sweeps of rectagles. I bake the geometry (checking group option) but they are separated...I need it to be one geometry or brep because the morphing process is too heavy and GH crashes...

Merely guessing here (please upload the definition), but I think you'll need to flatten the merged streams, then join. Cap after joining. (and: Fancy Wires are easier to read..)
Definition with baked breps here. I hope you can help me...thanks!

Can you re-upload this as a zip, the Ning server doesn't allow for rar archives...

the bended pieces have different sizes (height and width), their edges don't meet, so they won't join into a closed polysurface. I couldn't find out what shape/pattern you're after, but I would approach this differently, I guess I would make the pattern flat in the xy-plane, and extrude after succesfully joining the surfaces.
First thing to do would be to create one nice white and one nice green unit that are of the same width.

I made the pattern continuous (so edges meet). This is my morphing definition: GH did it i 15 minutes then Rhino expired RAM and closed.

Can you try to run the morphing with your PC?

maybe you can try remaping the pattern (curves) on a surface like this and then recreate the small surfaces:

check for the reparametrize icon :D

Thanks Manuel!

I was wondering if it is possible to have a non uniform division of the Hexagrid, I found on the web only subdivision component (rectangles).

Thanks
