how to select the points inside of certain boundary

Dear all,

Sorry for the simple question.

As my first project in Grasshopper, I want to selects the points in the circle area. My logic right now is i should find a way out to export the value of the points and use the curve postion to limit each value of the points. Am i on the right tract now or i should find anthother method.

Thanks all of your help in advance. I need the answer as soon as possible.

There is a component for this on the Curve Tab > Analysis Panel (drop down list)

If you where looking to do it by logic there is the raytrace method.

If you have an odd number of intersects with a line starting at your chosen point with the boundary of the circle it is inside and if it is even it is outside (remember 0 is an even number)

Thanx mate, it works. That is exactly what i am looking for, you are awesome!!!!

I know this is a while back but I think I am trying to do the opposite..

I want to select the original curves that have the highlighted points on them. In other words I want to select the curve that has that corner for a subsequent extrusion rule (eg. corners at a different height to the rest..

Thanks for your help!

i think with sanbox you could do it like this:

Thanks so much: that looks great, exactly the function i am looking for. Doesn't look however like it runs for Grasshopper in RhinoWIP: I am a mac user. But thanks again for your generosity of answering!

Hi,

i think depending on your input Curves you could do it also like this:

You could use [Region Union](Edit: Oh, the flatten wasn't needed here...)

Hello

I project a circle on the dome and change the dome surface to mesh with lots of mesh points. I want to find points into the projected circle on the dome, unfortunately, your manner is not working. Do you have another idea about it?

Best
