algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hey all,
Is there any way to simplify the making of something like this in Rhino by using Grasshopper and perhaps Kangaroo or Kingkong? Similar to the image above, I need the tiles to be rigid in aesthetic and not just overlayed onto a 3d dimensional surface. It's also worth noting that I'm embracing the random and thus don't necessarily need it to fit a set landscape or whatever.
I've asked this question before and came up with a bunch of friendly responses that weren't of much help, all suggesting that I overlay the pattern onto a 3D surface like this:
...but while it's great they responded, that's not at all the effect I'm going for.
