Constrained Perimeter

Hi,

I have been trying to create a rectangle that had a constrained perimeter (ie. say 4) when i change the x and y dimensions in order to get a variety of shapes/scales.

For example
Original rectangle 
perimeter = 4
x = 1
y = 1

New rectangle
perimeter = 4
x = 1.5
y = 0.5

etc

Does anyone know how to?
