Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I was trying to create voronoi based on the offset line. The problem comes out as first, the bounding box is not rectangle, once I deconstruct the bounding box, the curves can not be used as voronoi boundary. second,  the offset line is not closed line work, the control points were not able to be correctly recolonized. Anyone know why?

Looks like something went wrong in your definition.

Voronoi2D should return closed planar curves and Offset should offset those to closed planar curves again. You will run into Trouble, if the Offset would shorten edges so they would vanish, but that would only destroy those cells where one of the edges is too short.

So it's really hard to help you without a definition to look at.

I just made a 30 second definition. See if it does what you want. If you want to trim a voronoi with a different curve, use 'region intersection'. Just put your boundary curve into that curve parameter.

But as Hannes mentioned, the best way to get help in the future is post your definition
