algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I was wondering if anyone had any insight into the following problem.
We are working on a retaining wall for the back landscape of a large residential tower. We wanted the size of the tiles to subdivide by an integer according to the curvature of the wall. In other words sections of step curvature would have a tile of size 10, less step 20 flat 40.
I have attached a sample of what I am talking about from a landscape in Spain, Plaza del Desierto by Arroyo. Here the tiles are split to create triangles which is also a possibility.
I was able to achieve a decent result by simply meshing a rebuilt surface, but I was wondering if there was a better way to do this.
In the attached rhino file I demonstrated my process. If anyone has any insights on the best methodology or some examples of previous grasshopper definitions that would be great. Thanks!
