Girih shape tiling and packing

Hey guys I'm doing independent research studio at school and we are working with the girih shapes. Instead of perfect tiling we are arranging the shapes so they leave these planned gaps (almost like the rhombus piece but tighter). Is there a way I could use galapagos to analyze the edge lengths and get the pieces to tile? Arranging these manually is getting to be a pain so I was looking for a more automated way to arrange these. Thanks.
