algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Guys,

I've tried to analyze a simple cantiliver as show in the picture above but I found some problem.

I think the problem is in the discretization of the element because I tried to divide my line in 25 element and it worked.

Is there an other way to get a nice solution or I have to divide each element in my project?

Hi Marco,

the results you get are already nice. The difference between the exact value and the result with one element is 0.4% relative to the exact value.

The reason why the results get better when using more elements is, that the influence of the deflected elements curvature on the element stiffness is taken into account only approximately.
