pop-up menu + number slider

Hello, Ι encounter 2 very basic issues.

The first one has to do with the pop-up menu when you press the spacebar button. Actually when I press space bar nothing happens.

The second one is that when I double click on the main panel and the search window appears, then I type numbers like 0.5<5.0<10.0 and again nothing happens when I suppose a number slider should appear.

I have no idea if and how it can be solved. Any help would be appreciated.

Does the radial menu appear if you click the middle mouse button?

Can you get any of the other special objects via the double click menu? For example panels if you type in a " first. Or a clock if you type 12:45.

ps. I also moved this discussion from FAQ into the Bugs forum.

Unfortunately no special objects via double click menu at all. And I've also pressed the middle mouse button but also no pop-up menu.
