algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi!

i am stuck at the moment and can't figure out a simple way to resolve intersections for curves. i guess its because of my skill set. i have created a voronoi diagram as shown in attached image. i offset the curves and then i want to trim the lines extending into the area bounded by offset curves. in screen shot, i have outlined it and i want to do this for all the curves that i have. basically need an outline created by the offset curves.

is there an easy way to do it?

Thank you everyone!

Are you offsetting in the wrong direction? Try offsetting a negative number.

no tim, i am not offsetting them in wrong direction and offsetting isn't the problem. i want to trim these overlapping lines so that the offset lines in the whole diagram could create a boundary. i have shown in the image below how i want them to be trimmed. i have done it in rhino.

Perhaps you could use a region union to do this?

i did that, but the problem is that it returns me the rectangle boundary of the diagram i.e. the boundary for voronoi, not the offset curves! :(

Did you ever try to offset them in the other direction? What you have done in Rhino pretty much is what you get offsetting the voronoi cells towards their center.

Thanks Hannes, i totally forgot about that, lol! now that you have mentioned it, i realize how simple it was. Thanks a lot!!!!

I just rephrased Tim's suggestion. So thanks Tim :D
