Closest Point on a mesh

Is it possible to specify in the [Closest Point (CP Mesh)] component that the closest point be in the faces, vertices or edges of the mesh? It would be nice if this component had an integer input which allowed you to specify the output.

I know it can be achieve with Weaverbird, but still, it might be a nice addition.
