The Rhino way would be to extrude the text and map them from a flat projection to the curved surface with FlowAlongSrf. Then Boolean out the extruded Text from the surface.

In GH you can use the MapToSurface component to mat flat curves (your text) to a curved surface and the solid trim to cut the holes.

Try this definition.

I see two possibilities:

1     Bake, in rhino: explode and maybe in grasshopper with project, and then make the surface; i think this is very long.

2    use the definition in a planar surface, bake and save as pdf or image file format, then use vray with this image as a map opacity, I think with this you get a similar render
