MD-slider controlling Bending on Y-axes and twisting (left/right) on X-axes. Surface is Baked to Rhino and then unrolled to become flat and straight.

Hi Frank. This shouldn't be too difficult. You divide an arc in 2 parts, then in three, four and so on. Or you can do it with trigonometry (but it's probably not needed).

in your example the surface is a perfectly circular cylinder, right? If the surface is a cylinder, it seems easy to do by just adding some trigonometry to your coordinates. But if you're also thinking about more arbitrary bending like in my video example above, it's probably a little more tricky...
I like your sketch by the way, did you scan it or draw it on the computer somehow?
