Dear all,
I've run the Pachyderm installation with no problems, but when I start Rhino I get a message "Error loading Pachyderm Acoustic", and no commands starting "Pachyderm" work in Rhino.
When I start Grasshopper, I get another error message, nevertheless the Pachyderm panel is active.
After I start to assemble my definition, the node comes up with more mistakes and the definition doesn't run.
I would be very grateful for any advice!

Rhino 6

Hi,

What version of Rhino 6 are you running? I'm not sure whether it was the compatibility check (as usual) but if you are running a version that is too far out of date, the compatibility check will fail.

Updates to the latest service release are free for licensed users.

Thank you for your reply!
I made a mistake, I actually have both Rhino 6 and 7 installed, and I get the same issue in both. It seems to me that it references to another version of file "Pachyderm_Acoustic_Universal", because Grasshopper shows an error "couldn't load Pachyderm_Acoustic_Universal version 2.0.0.2", while in the C:\Program Files\Pachyderm_Acoustic folder I have a same titles file, version 1.0.0.1

Do you have any idea why that could be?

Hi!
Please see the messages from Rhino attached. I still cannot figure out a way to make Pachyderm work.

Thank you in advance,

Aleksandra

Aleksandra,

I see one issue already. Your q5.jpg shows me what version of Rhino 5 you are running, and it is is too far out of date. You should have at least Rhino 5 SR14. That might be your entire problem, but I can't really be certain. You should update Rhino 5 to be certain.

Second, please answer my question about what version of Rhino 6 you are running. Go to the 'Help' menu at the top of Rhino. Then go all the way down to where it says  "About Rhinoceros...", and click it. The dialog that pops up will have a section in the lower right hand corner, where it will say "Version 6 SR__" I need to know the SR__ - what number. Mine says "Version 6 SR30". What does yours say?

Arthur

Arthur, thank you so much for your reply!
The version is Version 6
(6.1.18023.13161, 23.01.2018)

I've updated to the latest Rhino version and Pachyderm work beautifully. Thank you so much for such a powerful plugin!

Glad you like it.

Arthur

Hi All,

I have been trying to add the Pachyderm Acoustics plugin for both Rhino 6 SR10 and Rhino 7 SR19. For both programs I get the loading error when trying to add the plugin, and I don't know why or what I can do to fix it.

If anyone has any hints on how to fix it, it would be of great help to me.
Thanks in advance :)

Hi,
You need rhino 6 sr28 at least to run pachyderm. Please update your rhino version.

I'm not sure why Rhino 7 isn't working, though. Can you tell me more about your installation? Are you installing the latest pachyderm?

Arthur

Hi Arthur,

Thanks for your quick response!

This is the version of pachyderm I installed (the one from 2018 frm the orase page):

https://www.dropbox.com/s/wl4jn2512afu832/Pachyderm2.0RC26%20Instal...

I also found in one thread the 2022 version, but not yet installed. Should I use that? or could you send me the link to the latest one?

Huh... Try updating rhino. It really should work.

You can also try the new wip build to see if that works any better. See the website:
