Why does this only work with a cylinder being the colliding object?

Hey Guys,

Brilliant tutorial, really helpful.

However I am having some trouble, I'm looking to drape over a series of pipes that I pre built in Rhino and created into a mesh. For some reason as the drape falls through the form underneath it doesn't drape over the form it simply falls directly through it. I have tried meshing a cylinder it that woks fine so the mesh doesn't seam to be the problem. When meshing another stand alone pipework a similar thing happens so maybe its something to do with using a pipe i'm not sure. Can anyone help?

thanks,

Charlie.
