Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear All,

I can't figure this out.

I have an irregular closed curve or polyline which I want to offset inward at a specific distance

till all the inner space is filled.

In the attached image you will see the 2 left over spaces. I need them filled as well....

Any suggestions?

Thanks all in advance.

The best thing is to use clipper library offset
Searc clipper on food4rhino or install BowerBird it has also a offset from clipper
Dear Laurent,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
My closed profile might not be always a
Polyline.
If I am not mistaken, both Clipper and Bower Bird seem to work with either meshes or polylines only.
Laurent,
please diregard my previous reply. I just realisized that I can convert my curves into polylines and it may work.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Happy New year to you all!

No problem, sure you can convert curves to polyline.

One other thing useful for offset curves if loose offset. It offsets the control points so offsetted curves have the same structure has source curve. It is very useful for surface construction.

Indeed I will keep that in mind. Thanks again.
