Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there.

This one should be simple.

I want to assign a color to my panels (according to their efficiency).

Am I doing it right? Because I see the same color for every panel, although they have different values. What should come in the Parameter plug of the Gradient component theoretically? I don't really understand it...

The data are internalized in the attached .gh file.

Hi Erik,

I can see on your image that your data trees doesn't match, either you have to flatten your geometry or graft the colors.

Of course! So simple! Thank you man!

And to put the data in the parameter plug is correct right?

What does it theoretically mean: 'parameter along gradient range'?

A gradient exists along a numeric domain. At the start of the domain the leftmost colour begins, and at the end of the domain the rightmost colour ends. Any parameter (ie. number) within this domain represents some colour inside the gradient. Any parameter outside this domain is either green or red (in your specific case).

Thank you very much for the clear definition David.
