Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Everybody,

is there an opportunity to draw a structured qrid on a surface like in my picture with

holes in it. It always draws the grid over the holes and also the centerpoints which are also very impotant for my attempt.

As second step I would like to create a certain distance from the grid to the holes.

Maybe with offset or something like that. I tried almost a million options, but now I probably need help anyway after all.

Could anyone please help me.

Every help is much appreciated!

Kind regards,

Martin

This thread might be of some help.

Thanks a lot I almost solved the problem now.

On Problem is left.

I would like to put the grid in the air with cutting of all intersecting and gridlines that are in the upper mutiple breps.

But as you can see in the first picture there is missing a part of the intersecting upper(green ) grid and in picture two if the line is not intersecting the missing line is there but a second problem is occuring as seen in picture two, where a line doesn't get cut of right.

Could you please help me futher. Any help is much appreciated.

Some sort of tolerence issue maybe?

Mmmh yes wow good idea. You just changed the factor right?

One thing is left when intersecting it still doesn't take a part of the curve.

I just don't understand why...mmHH. I guess now we are going in the very deep matter of grasshopper ("proud")  ;).

Attached the Rhino problem one more time. Thanks a lot for your help anyway.

One of your box(bigger one) thouchs some grid lines instead of corssing them. Rhino and GH sometimes can't handle that kind of situation.

Thanks a lot for all the help I got it almost done through modifing, but it is still too inaccurate.

The grid inside the bottom rectangles of the brep need to fit perfectly into the breps shape and I need to be able to select the outer grid too. So I tried a different approach.

The first picture shows how the inner grid in the breps should look like(up in the air).

The intersecting points as shown in picture 2 are also right picked as you can see through the curve/curve panel.

I got it done with dispatch for just one brep, but the seperation of the inner and outer grid doesn't work with multiple breps. I'm pretty sure it is a small data tree problem, but I can't find the problem.

Could you please help me another time?

The matter is not as simple as you might think. Check attached.
