Hey, I coded a script that generates such a mesh. Let me know how well / badly it works.

hi arturo,

very nice approach!

could you kindly share the code?

thanks a lot!

The link about the Chebyshev net paper (Geometric approach to chebyshev net generation along an arbitrary surface represented by nurbs) is dead. Can someone upload a copy of it ?>>

This is the paper of mine. I've published it in 2002. You may wish to find free copy of it at

Good luck

Nice job. Can I have a copy of the source code of this example? Thanks.

Hi Will,

thanks for sharing this method (Chebychev Net algorithm), new to me, but very interesting. Actually, I used a similar approach.

Your script is simply brilliant, I just watched your video!!! Well done!!!

Nice. This looks similar to the Chebychev Net algorithm (http://www.graphicon.ru/2002/pdf/Popov_En_Re.pdf) that I've used to generate quad meshes from surfaces (https://vimeo.com/71686437).
