apply 3d pattern on surface

Hi, i'm a new user in Grasshopperand start to enjoying it, however can't find an answer to my problem on the web, so wondering if you could help me on this: how can I apply a 3D pattern on a surface?

sure, I would like to simulate a breathing surface. I created a structure where I would like to apply a polygon pattern I created in grasshopper. please refer to the picture
