yes, usually I prefere Geco, but you can have the same results by Honeybee (for daylight analysis) or, with less workflow efficiency (for annual average values), with Diva

This is a tipical Geco algorithm to evalutate daylight levels

What software did you use for daylight levels analysis? Ecotect (through Geco)?

the calculation is based on a CIE overcast sky, an average design sky based on location. The algorithm try to mantain 500 Lux of average daylight levels in the zone, minimizing the dimension of the window.

The green area of the diagram represent the best solutions.

how is the optimization process defined? Is it the average for the whole year or in one special sun position?
