algorithmic modeling for Rhino

extraneous curves from Surface Difference

Hi. I imported an icosahedron from Rhino Polyhedron to use as my brep, put a sphere in the center and spheres at the 12 vertices and used SDiff to subtract the outer ones from the central. When I extract the edges, instead of twelve circles, I get 21 curves, some open and some closed. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Ethan, try the BBX component (Brep Brep Intersection) to get these curves. The spheres' seams are causing the trouble when you're using the solid difference.
