Closest point on multiple curves

Hi,I have multiple voronoi cells on a plane. This plane I have populated with points. Now I want to find the closest points on the voronoi polyline, for all set points. On the picture you can see the…Continue

Hi,My question concerns many topics, for any help/ advice I am grateful.I am starting with kangaroo and I want to build selforganising rectangles (to later organise cuboids).Maybe its a bad way to…Continue

hi community! As this is my first post, I hope not to ask a too stupid question(s).Is there a reason I dont understand, that you can not make an expression in the domain box component? In the center…Continue

"Hi Osma,I was stuck at a similar problem, using kangaroo with a changing number of points. I was adviced to use hoopsnake instead of kangaroo, where you could implement force vectors aswell as the changing number, because there is (by now, as far as…"

HDT Utilities

Welcome to Human for Grasshopper!Because humans are animals too!Any similarity to my own name is, of course, a pure coincidence. What does it do?There are two sets of components with different functions:Human.ghaExtends Grasshopper's ability to create and reference geometry including lights, blocks, and text objects. Data structure with closest point example

Hi folks, because I (and many others I guess) are struggeling with data structures I want to show my solution I have found for my problem, so it can maybe help somebody one day. I guess somebody could do it better, so feel free to improve! I tried to make everything very graphic... :)The situation is as follows:I distribute N points on plane (dPoints). On the same plane, I distribute another N/10 points (vCenters). They act as centers for voronoi cells. The dPoints now find the closest point on…See More

"Well, that's the true power of GH. Graft isolates each point, so each point is matched up to all 7 cell curves. Then sort those points per Distance from the curve. That's a list of 7 points per original point. Select only the first item…"
