Double normal vectors at the mesh edges at the midpoints?

Hi everyone,I have to reorient the y axes of beams with karamba Orientate beam component. My new local y axes are the normal vectors at the mesh edges at the midpoints. Since some edges are shared, I…Continue

Hi everyone,I'm doing a diagrid structure with Grasshopper. I want to find the normal vector at the midpoints of the elements of the diagrid. I tried to find it with the definition that you can see…Continue

"Dear Simona, you can simulate the rigid diaphragms by connecting all points of same Z-level with very stiff beams of zero weight. Best, Clemens"

"Dear Clemens, I think that I've not explained well the problem. Looking at the deformed shape of the building, it doesn't have a global behaviour like a cantilever under the wind load and the top displacement is too high. I think that the…"

"Hi Simona, you can specify groups of beams which will have identical cross sections after optimization by feeding their identifier into the 'GroupIds' input-plug of the 'OptiCroSec'-component (see the manual for details). For a…"

"Dear Simona, you specify the windload to act perpendicular to all four sides of your volume. The generation of windloads is however limited to one side only by providing input to 'Pos' at the 'MeshLoad'-component. This is why…"

Double normal vectors at the mesh edges at the midpoints?

Hi everyone,I have to reorient the y axes of beams with karamba Orientate beam component. My new local y axes are the normal vectors at the mesh edges at the midpoints. Since some edges are shared, I have double normal and double beams. If I use Remove Duplicate Lines it doesn't work. How can I do? You can see attached the gh definition to find the normal vectors and the gh file. Many thanks in advance!See More
