Fabian Posadas replied to Randy Gregory's discussion Starting a Ring and then add a pattern
"Hi Randy, Since your model doesn't have that many surfaces, I chose it manually. If you want to understand data trees better I would recommend you to check out pages 36-41 of Andy Payne's Grasshopper primer. It gives a good…"

Randy Gregory replied to Randy Gregory's discussion Starting a Ring and then add a pattern
"Hello Fabian, I was wondering, For the cull items & Item list, how does it know which surface to use for map surface? I have to do more studying of lists  & data trees in Grasshopper. Getting the end of the circle and orienting the…"

"Hi Fabian, Looks good, I will check it out tomorrow. 2D curves could work, just finish in Rhino if need be. Thanks, Randy"

Fabian Posadas replied to Randy Gregory's discussion Starting a Ring and then add a pattern
"Hello Randy, Check out this definition. The profile of the ring adapts to the ring size. The curve patterns does as well. But this definition only projects 2d curve patterns. Best of luck"

Weaverbird - Topological Mesh Tools

Weaverbird is a topological modeler that contains many of the known subdivision and transformation operators, readily usable by designers. Instead of doing the work repeatedly, or sometimes using complicated scripts, this plug-in helps reconstructing shapes as meshes, subdivides and refines even polyline lists, and helps preparing the model for fabrication. Weaverbird is the first released addon for Grasshopper but the group is new, so please join it to participate in discussions, ask questions…See More
