Optimization of a Right Circular Cylinder

To All:I have been trying to work through some of the examples of Galapagos with some modest success, but I have really been wrestling with one problem in particular.Let's say I have a right circular cylinder of a predetermined surface area, say 600 square units. I would like to optimize the volume of that cylinder using Galapagos. I have tried a couple of different approaches but failed. Hi all:I am just working on a small grasshopper problem of trying to place a point at the intersection of a vector and a surface. (This is assuming one exists.) The vector will be determined by a pair of points. Figure attached.I would welcome ideas!!See More

"Hi Neil, unfortunately it's very difficult. The [Trim Solid] component is supposed to do this, but it isn't working correctly. It seems that Rhino5 actually does provide tools for this, so I can fix the component, in the meantime I wrote…"

Hello All:Trying to put together some code that would place a sphere at each vertex of a brep and do a difference.
