Great! Very inspiring series... Are these examples of explicit surfaces F(x,y,z)=0*?

Hi! Thanks for sharing this info. We might submit a poster titled: SELF-REPLICATING SYSTEMS IN SPATIAL FORM GENERATION - THE CONCEPT OF CELLULAR AUTOMATA It is related to our recently published paper available at: http://elearning.amres.ac.rs/journ

Hi Norbert! Great images, both this model, and the 3D printed one. The auxetic foams are new for me. Is there any video recording of one of your lectures related to this topic? Did you try to make a GH definition of such structure? If so, could you…

Thanks for your comment! A bit of recursion has been included in the deffinition applied in the model above... I hope Milana will manage to define an IFS (Iterated Functional System) in Grasshopper, that will allow full control of recursivity and co…

Something like that :) How to do it, is another problem... maybe with boolean checks on intersections.

Thnx for this! Is it a sort of chain of frames that you propose? Any idea how to do what you suggest (to control constrains)? affinetransformations-red and purple 01.ghx

Beautifully complex image! It seams to me that some frames intersect others in some points; I think it would be even better if you were able to create constraints that made it impossible for the frames to intersect each other - and then build that…

Congratulations!!! Dr MD. Yay!

Thats really, really cool.

I'm so jealous. The wonderful staff person from America Danelle Briscoe who has been doing cool stuff with me here is taking up a professorship in Texas. I can't imagine why she'd want to leave all the joy of this unheated, unclean building just for more money and one semester a year anywhere in the world with her students......

....so I'm back doing ALL the teaching digitally. SIGH.

I've decided to just do the interesting stuff and finally focus on research and not teaching.

I'll try and find someone else to do the low end stuff, so I'm looking forward to sending you a great deal of cool stuff soon.

Thanks again Mir for the invite and love to Simona and all.

:) D

I have managed to get Bentleys GC tool as well as grasshopper on the systems here but struggling to get texts etc.

Please recommend best ones to me. Or your most useful websites.

Hi! Many thanks for your invitation to be introduced to your Research Group in Generic Explorations at the Faculty of Architecture, the University of Belgrade. I will for sure be very interested to see your work and meet you all in Belgrade. I saw some really great work on your blog and I am so happy that the group such as yours exist in this region, although I could see that yourself was researching in this direction (very impressive!) for quite some time.... (from your Faculty of Architecture profile) The final crits are at the end of June so I am looking forward to meet you all than!
