Galapagos Simulated Annealing cooling problem

Hi everyone,I have a question about the Simulated Annealing Solver. In my model, it sometimes happens the calculated result is 'useless' (to me anyway). Unfortunately, Galapagos still regards the…Continue

Tube bridge optimization

Hi everyone,Today I've uploaded a second video regarding the possibilities of doing an optimization using SSI for GSA, Galapagos and Grasshopper. Be sure to watch it in HD! The GH definition can be found in the attachement below. This video deals with obtaining an optimization regarding the design of a tube bridge, inspired by the Harthill footbridge, the Greenside Place Link bridge and the Corporation street bridge. A solution is found using the Galapagos evolutionary solver in Grasshopper. An…See More

Truss optimization example

Hi Everyone,Last week I decided that it would be fun to analyze some structural engineering problems and solve them by using a combination of GH, SSI for GSA and Galapagos. :)In today's video I'll deal with the design of a simply supported planar truss.Next week I'll explore a bridge based on the M8 Harthill Pedestrian Bridge design. Please post any questions you may have in the comments and I'll gladly answer them. The definition is included below.MichaelSee More
