Hi Matt,
the component works normal -- maybe you should check if the closed curve is flat otherwise it won't work

Hi Matt,
You could use a circle as a guide to sort around. That way the pts around the perimeter get sorted in the order of t, and if you use two circles with the same base plane (XY) then you shouldn't get any crossing

How about something like this:
To keep the order of the curves correct for the loft you could include the original curve but don't scale it and don't move it.
