Mesh Surface Component not working well for U and V equal to 12 Replies

Hi Guys,When using the mesh surface component to transform a surface to a mesh with U and V number of meshes equal to 1, the resulting mesh is not matching the original surface ..After looking into…Continue

Input values from grasshopper list into an already existing excel table ?1 Reply

Hi guys,I was wondering if it is possible to input values that I have in a grasshopper list into an excel table that already exists to do some mathematical/engineering tasks and then bring back again…Continue

"The output R of "point in curve" component is 0 if point is inside curve, 1 if coincident, and 2 if outside. If you test the equality R to 1 (meaning B input of equal component is 1) then you will have a list of true/false pattern to…"

"Hi Duc, Try this. You have to deconstruct your surface to find its edges, and then test if the points are inside/outside/coincident to the edge curve using point in curve component."

"Do you mean Transform -> Euclidean -> Orient? This will take you from the brick's plane, say xy, to the wall's tangential plane."

"Should be correct, unless there's a bug in the surface closest point algorithm, but that would be very unlikely as that code is used all over Rhino. It'll of course output an xyz point, but the z value will be zero and the x and y values…"

"Thanks David, whatever was the surface I will get the right uv points ?"

"Hi Roman, Can't you do it with the dispatch component using a true/false pattern comparing length of curves in both lists ?"

"If you don't know the index of the item you are looking for to plug in the list item component, you can use the find similar component as shown in the screen shot, which is more general method."
