algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, 

I am having an issue with a rather large definition. I am using the 'trim solid' component at the end to perforate my geometry and it has been working until I added more cutting geometry. Now I am returning some invalid surface results. I know surface split may be an option, but I wonder what I can do to avoid this - if anything. If anyone could potentially shine some light on this situation to avoid this result, I would be grateful. 

I have attached the definition but don't expect anyone to check it as it is very long.

Hello erik,

d3 input of merge (the last one) come empty because some curves (where the arrow points) dont have input.

d1 and d2 are producing valid trim. i quess d3 is the problem but cannot look at it. can you upload your definition with d3 having data?

Thanks Alex for your prompt reply and sorry for my delayed response. 

I think the issue was a data matching error that was resulting in a lofting error. It seems to work just fine as long as I leave out d3. I have internalized the rest of the data, but if you don't have time don't worry as it is definitely a long definition. 

I have been seeking a way to, after I extract the center isocurves of the cylinders, to then gradually create circles normal to that cylinder. This way I wouldn't have to create so many duplicate lines of code to achieve the above effect. Sorry if I am not explaining myself well, but basically I am trying to create this same effect of gradually creating smaller circles on each cylinder without the above approach. So any ideas would be helpful to steer me in the right direction. I thought I could use the intersection point and then run a series of points up and down the curve, but I haven't figured out that approach yet. I will put something together in the morning and post it if I get the chance. I have my first attempt in the definition labeled, 'variable circle progress'.
