algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Sometimes new components that should be available aren't visible on the Tabs. What do I do?

There could be several reasons this is happening, first order of business is to determine whether or not the components are actually loaded.

If you know the name of one of at least one of the components, you can double-click on the Canvas and start typing. If the component appears in the results, then it is loaded.

If you do not know any names, you can open the Grasshopper About banner and display all loaded GHA files:

If the GHA plug-in doesn't appear here, it has not been loaded. This could be because the GHA file is in the wrong place, or because it has been blocked by Windows, or because it didn't allow GH to load it due to some other conflict, or a thousand other reasons.

If it does appear here then the components are only missing from the Tabs. The most common reason for this is that a Tab Layout has been loaded and activated. A Tab Layout defines the names of tabs, panels and which icons are available per panel. If you are using an existing layout then new components will not show up.

You can see all loaded and active layouts by right clicking on the Tab area:

From here you can either disable (click on the eye) or delete (click on the X) any layout. Once all custom layouts have been disabled, the default layout will be used and all components should appear on the Tabs again.
