Greetings,

I am a bachelor of architecture student and a newbie to grasshopper, i got to know about you from one of your students at IAAC, as a part of exploring grasshopper and research i thought of doing generative design with grasshopper.

The idea was to do the spatial zoning and massing on a site based on some density calculations. but so far i could just achieved a basic volume(cuboid) which went beyond the plot boundary from the script attached with this post. The goals that i look to achieve are 1) massing according to the density calculation 2) division of plot and zoning of different programmes 3) environmental analysis (which might be achieved by gecko)

I cant figure a way to achieve the desirable output as i am newbie to this as well as i couldnt find any guidance around me from the people i know or over the internet. It would be nice if u could have a look and guide me to complete this script succesfully as this is something a lot of people have been talking about but couldnt find any1 who had successfully achieved this.

Regards,

Nirav Upadhyay

Hi Luis.
I have just seen an ad to your July workshop.
Is that cfd analysis screenshot?
What plugin will you be using for cfd analysis?
Thank you for the reply.

Hello Luis, fine to meet you here! After a long time of abstinence I am really glad to have some spare time to work and play with grasshopper again. Recently I did attend a course given by Steffen Riegas in Berlin for working with the VB Script Component. That opens new dimensions for me - but is not so easy for one who did learn programming before the OOP era..

I hope you are fine and send you my best wishes

Switbert

Hi Luis,

Thank you for your continued grasshopper contributions. I was interested in having a chat regarding kml component. I too would be interested in having more control over color, camera and adding custom data.

Thanks,

German

40% of Smart Geometry 2013 Cluster Champions have a Profile on Grasshopper3d.com

I was going to post that there are several Cluster Champions for the Smart Geometry 2013 Workshops here in the GH community, but actually 40% have profiles on Grasshopper3d.com.  There might be others with profiles here, but maybe they obscure their avatar name ala Web 1.0.  Also, this in no way takes into account the cases…

Control Rhino Sun System from GH (Rhinocommon)

In Rhinocommon it is very straightforward to take control of the sun system.

The attached definition will get you there.  There are some weird things happening when I switch locations...the time gets shifted.

I need to look further as it was very quickly implemented.  As you see, only 2 lines of code to mess around with the…
