I can't install GrassHopper

I'm trying to install, grasshopper in rhino 4 sr8.... i have win 7 ultimate 64x,

i download the installer,and the vcredist_x86.EXE, the i install the runtime, and later began to instal the grasshopper and appear.. this thing...

install:

An I/O error has occured during a file install.
this is normally...

abort --- retry

the i have to abort and the installer close... i also download the .Net Framework 3.5 and install it, also have .net Framework 4.0 extended....

what can o have to do to install and begin to use grasshopper..

So the installer fails during installation? At this point neither the .NET framework nor the Microsoft runtimes matter, the installer should be able to run all by itself.

Unfortunately I don't understand how the installer works and nor do I have the software required to make any changes. You'll need to talk to Brian Gillespie, who is in charge of our installers (he's also the product manager for Rhino, so he's quite busy). If Brian's not responding (just realised he got back from holiday today), you can also try Andy le Bihan (andy@mcneel.com), he originally wrote the installer.
