Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear all,

I have been trying to add discrete type variables [0 or 1] to optimization problem, only to choose from two types of glazing (one with transmission 38% and another with 88%] but every time I try to do it, the DIVA annual daylight component doesn't want to run.

does anyone know how to add discrete variables to Galapagos?

ex. 0 or 1 (closed or opened), or for specific types of windows (single or double)

please check attached definition. hope this could be done.

thank you

Use an integer slider from zero to one. That was the slider can only take on two different states.

Though I warn you that Galapagos is not great at dealing with discontinuous problems. May make more sense to find the best solution for each type of glazing separately and then decide based on those results.
