algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Ok so I have a hoopsnake loop that's selecting surfaces from a list, selecting adjacent surfaces and removing the original and the adjacent surfaces from the original list then shooting it back into hoopsnake. The surfaces we pulled out get moved vertically to the highest point out of a Brep/Line intersection. The breps intersecting are one terrain surface and the top of every extrusion from previous iterations.
About halfway through we're looking at intersecting two lines with about 100 surfaces which takes about 700 ms in an unconnected BCX, but the one already connected to everything else is taking upwards of 10 minutes
The file is colossal so I'm not quite sure if it would be wise to post it on here
