Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I am trying to create a hexagonal grid wherein the diameters of the hexagons would be controlled by a series of attractor points. I have found a few examples of what I am looking for but I cannot seem to find a ghx definition that I can download. Any suggestions?

Hi whitelle,

hexagons only stack without gaps and/or overlaps is they all have the same radius. It is not possible to create a grid with variable sized hexagons. It is possible to create a grid with differently sized and shaped 6-sided polygons. Is that what you are after?

yes. sorry, should have clarified that. the hexagon itself is not important.
