algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have a set of circles generated from a previous image sample.  I want to extrude these curves based on multiple attractor points or curves.  I also want to be able to extrude in both directions.

I did the 2 point attractor patterning tutorial on designreform, but was wanting to extrude with even more points.

I'm not sure if maybe doing it with a series of curves would work better.

I'm trying to create a structure that is connecting to the ground based on the attractor points and I want the extrusion to gradiantly increase similar to how it is already doing.

I would look into the component "Closest Point".

It helps you to find the closest point in a cloud of points (your attractors) and gives you the distance to that point - might help you further?

If you want to switch to curves the component "Curve CP" is the way to go.

If you want to extrude both way you might have to (have not tried testing anything smart) create some points that extrude one way, and some points that extrude the other way.

Hope it helps...
