ZUI threshold option?

Is there a way to adjust when the zoom-enabled features become enabled? Like I find that I zoom in a lot on panels when I read them and the options are always getting in the way. I would like to be able to adjust the zoom percentage which enables the Zoom features (just slightly, it's really very close to how I would like it, I just think it would be nice to have the option).

Arthur asked for this as well. I'm trying to get some extra options into the UI for the next release (both zoom threshold control and complete on/off control), but no guarantees.
