Grids - inconsistencies of points location (corners vs centres)

Hello,

I just noticed that the points output of the different grids components are kind of different and it's irritating my OCD.

- The radial and rectangular and square grids produce the points at their corners (nodes?) but not at the centres of the cells.

- The Hexgrid and Trigrid puts their points at the centres, not at the corners (nodes).

The icon of these components kinda suggests the points would be at the corners rather than the centres.

It's not causing me any problems but I'm just curious why it's like that.

Can I suggest letting the components output BOTH the nodes and the centres? Can we have the P outputs centres and a new output N for the nodes? Just an idea.

Thanks,
Ching

Hi Ching,

No good reason. The nodes should be at the vertices in my opinion, as it's quite easy to find the centres of any polyline. Or outputting both the vertex and centre points would also be an option.
