automatic placement of rectangles with defined dimension

Hi all,

i need to do an automatic disposition of apartments in base of a percentage of them. I start to the simplest case: only a line with dimension; the apartments are only simple rectangle with width 2 or 1 unit.The input are: the lenght of the line, how many percentage of rectangle large 1 and 2 unit, and where are located the rectangle with 1 unit width.I tried using series, but i can't decide the position of the rectangle.I hope you help me.
