Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

there are many version of unroll surface in grasshopper, including the lunchbox, tt toolbox and kangaroo physics, but none of them allow you unjoin  the edges first as you can using the rhino version.

the options would be to integrate the unrolledge command into grasshopper using python (as mentioned here http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/unjoin-edge-by-vb-c-python and here: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/unjoin-edge-and-unroll-brep) however, the unrolledges command is not available in python. you can however access the rhino command through python. if you do this you can achieve similiar results to the native rhino version of unroll.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for posting this. I'm new to programming with Python in grasshopper, but for some reason, after trying to replicate this process, Rhino still asks me to manually select the edges that I want to unjoin. Any idea why this would be the case?

Thanks
