Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I´m hoping that someone will be able to help me with this problem. I´m a student trying to create a flexible column structure and this is what I have at the moment in rhino. The idea is four columns attached to each other working individually and as a group forming a tree shape. Now a tree also has branches and the idea is that these are should be used to sort of create and support floors and roofs. But the four columns doesn´t need to be in the same height. Since I´m a total beginner using grasshopper I was asked by my tutor to ask this forum for help. Hopefully there is a grasshopper script that allows me to play around with different shapes of the columns and the spaces it creates using simple lines that later can be swept (sweep) into the correct dimensions and proportions so that all branches seems to be derived from the same root so to speak. As in the second picture the red curved lines (control point curve in rhino) are what I would like to work with.

Most grateful for any help

Hmm ... not exactly a task for a novice/total beginner  but not nuclear science either.

Other than that appears that the tutor just landed on planet Earth (from where? that's the 1M question).

Not sure if I can attach an "indicative" def since there's "some" issues on that matter lately.

Thank you for taking your time to support me!

Haha, our tutor is a great guy who wants us to learn how to seek knowledge on our own and not be afraid of using forums like this.

I will know try to look into the script and see if I can apply it the way I want. Once again- thanks!
