algorithmic modeling for Rhino

points in surface / points in region / surface point collision

hi all I'm trying to select only the points that don't collide, or are not inside a region determined by a surface (in black)

Point in curve command doesn't work because the region is determined by a series of curves.

surface collision with points is giving me strange results.

any ideas on what might be the problem?

this is an extract of a bigger .gh and the points here is the least number of points I can have... 

I also tried doing a line and intersecting the line with the surface to get only the intersecting points, but can't find a way to select the others...

Results were strange, not sure why - I find a more 'robust' method is to turn your surface into a volume and use PointInBreps or PointInMesh.
