Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone.

I have a curve on Rhino which I want to divide randomly. However I need to delimit this randomness.

In my case I want to build louvers and I need these louvers placed further than 40cm each other and less than 120cm. So, how can I delimit these gaps?.

Thanks to everyone.

Here's one way to do it. You can use 40 and 120 for your domain.

Thank you very much, that was what I was looking for!

Following the same post, I have a similar problem now.

I have random points as I wanted. I have extruded rectangles on these points, however I want to randomize one dimension of these rectangles but I just want four options. I mean, the length of my louvers has to randomize choosing among 30-40-50-60 cm. If I try to do as the same way as you said before I have several lengths as 43.5356 with decimal numbers.

I hope I have explained myself.

Thanks to everyone

If you right click on the 'Random' component, you will find an option for "Integer Numbers".

You might need to generate random integers of 3, 4, 5 or 6 and multiply that by ten?

Thank you very much, it's amazing how simply can be some times!
