Yes, ive just looked at that last definition. I think the only major difference is the use of a hexagon grid, which means all hexagons are in same order and orientation, meaning you can choose even and odd corners, that will match between neighbours.

Mine is a bit more brute force, as there are hexagons and pentagons, and no in built orientation. Essentially it had lots of overlapping/intersecting arms, and i just tested for this and culled the offenders...

It would be interesting to try and create a regular weave across a mix of  hex, pentagons, heptagons around a sphere, you would need to create the relationship between neighbouring cells, maybe kangaroo's mesh face tools would work

Hello, Daniel, if you're interested in those interlaced structureyou can check my def here, it's not clean as Tyrer's but it works ! http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/erwin-hauer-s-modul-hexag...

I love it. Can you give some clue on how to create an interlaced structure like that?

Busted! It is actually a half, I just didn't take a photo of it from below, so didn't mention it.

Would be interesting if possible to do your next print of either half the model, maybe even a Corner Or cut away one corner so you can see more structure and keep the rest of the sphere.
