@Mateusz I use a script, see the link above. The challenge was not to draw the line it was to sum very fast all the pixels brightness.
2000 iterations(threads)* 200 tests (number of pins) * number of pixels per image.
I had to use bitlocks to go faster on image processing.

@Laurent Are you drawing those images with a script or using Squid ? I'm almost sure Squid would not take that much time to draw all of those lines...

In this link an image with 2000 lines.

I think 4000 lines needs 1000 pixel x 1000 pixel images. I tried to make my code multithreaded but didn't manage to make it work.

Yes it will be nice, image must be well choosen and also with the good contrast. Adusting transparency seems to help a bit with "small" image. Here a test with an image rescaled to 600 pixel. But it was very long (2-3 hours).

I will redo the portrait from Danny Santos I use to see if it is better. Result in 1-2 hours !

Would be nice to see an image with thousands of lines, except you'd have to draw them using transparency to avoid saturating the bitmap...

These images are generated in less than 5 minutes (2.3 and 4.6) with 400 or 800 lines, and a rescaled bitmap of 200 pixels.
