Hello, How did you replicate the wax surface?

Hey Kellan

As far as I've found, there isn't an ideal way to avoid self collisions on the mesh however I came across a method Daniel Piker used where he used a sphere collide node on all the vertices of the mesh being fed into the sim. In a way it creates the impression that the mesh has thickness (defined by the radius in the sphere collide).

Nice result, I've fiddled with something similar before, but kept running into problems with pinched and knotted surfaces, or pockets that were too small to be machined. Is there a away you avoid those problems?

nice results Daniel!
