000 holes). I worked for half an hour to divide the 50 rows in z direction into 50 groups where each one is responsible of calculating 300 holes in x-direction.
Even though each group calculates 300 holes, it still takes longer time for every group. The time increase is linear, why the first 300 holes takes 15 seconds the next 300 takes 75 seconds, next group of 300 holes takes 134 seconds and so on. The last group (group nr. 50) should take 3000 seconds to calculate. I don't know if it should be like this, even though we have divided them in smaller fractions??
Based on that I made a function in Excel that approximated this new definition to get calculated in 21 hours (@ 3,5Ghz). It will take slightly longer as I only use 2,7Ghz during work hours, meaning it will take up to 30 hours. But far better than weeks, which I now realize could be the case with the definition I was working on before.
Think this is the optimal solution for now.
Will let you know how it goes. Thank you again Marco!
Yours,
Andreas…

ion with a number slider and maintain the profile perpendicular to the rail curve at all times for an eventual sweep.
Example:
version 1: RAIL - point 1 (profile 2) - point 2 (profile 3) - point 3 (profile 1) - Sweep
version 2: RAIL - point 1 (profile 3) - point 2 (profile 1) - point 3 (profile 2) - Sweep

u this; should I start a new discussion if my question is unrelated to the prior questions in the thread? If so, I will do that from now on.
Now, my main problem is this:
I am designing a parametric box for which 30≤x≤420, 30≤y≤270, and 30≤z≤300 and they are all increments of 30. My approach was to define ranges for x,y, and z and use them to create a domain box. What I am really after are a complete set or list of every possible box within my domains, which should be 14x9x10=1260 boxes. Instead I only get 14 boxes resulted from the N'th result for x,y,and z. I know I'm missing somethings in the definition which would enable that, but I don't know what! I have uploaded what I have so far. Could you tell me what steps I should take to get the result I want?
Thanks,…
the way I need it. The nearest items to the repellent curve has to be the lowest in height, though, they have to be entire floors and not cut half way.
I have this array of curves.
To them I mapped that geometry
I introduced a repellent curve
But I could only use it this way. However, I want the height of each item to be divisible into 3. This means that my floors will be 3m high and if I've got a 6-storey-building then this module has to be 18m high. In this each element is different in height and they're very rare integers.
2) Presuming the repellent curve could only cull items I'll then need some script to control the height of the buildings. The height must always be an integer divisible by 3. However, if the repellent curve could solve both issues then I'll be very happy.
Cheers! Thanks in advance!…
ndscape slopes towards good answers, you'll get there reasonably fast.
During a recent lecture I solved a problem in real-time which had 10^300 unique states in less than 30 seconds.

with the number of frames per second. If your frame count is 100 and you show 10 frames per second, your animation will be 10 seconds long. If you show 20 frames per second, your animation will be 5 seconds long.
A good standard is 30 frames per second if you want to avoid any jittery movement from frame to frame. So, let's say you want your movie to last 10 seconds long and you use 30 frames per second. How many frames should you tell grasshopper to generate? 10 x 30 = 300 frames.
When doing animations, it's best to work backwards from the desired length of the animation and the desired FPS to figure out how many frames you need. …
